James Scott DFC – A book commissioned by the family on the life of James Henry Scott during the Second World War – whilst serving with 12 Squadron SAAF, in North Africa, Malta, Sicily, Italy and Yugoslavia. He was a Leading Observer, the youngest known at the time, flying Bostons and Marauders. He wrote a ‘day to day’ diary from his time leaving South Africa until his return, all of which is included in the the book. His newly married wife, Charlotte Roughton was the daughter of Walter Douglas Roughton (see The Life of Walter Douglas Roughton).
